Rental Quality Control Technician monitors overall quality of machines, and component repairs performed by the Service Department. Maintains records of results and prepares reports. Being a Rental Quality Control Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Overview: Under supervision the QCT will perform routine inspections and verifications. Determines causes of defects and types of corrections required, suggest remedies to prevent subsequent errors in processes, support company policy’s, SOPs and programs and performs a variety of specialized quality support functions.
QCTs performs a variety of difficult, specialized administrative support functions that require a thorough knowledge of the terminology, procedures, and practices for their functional areas, with a significant degree of independence and accountability for results.

Primary Responsibilities:
1.0 Product Safety
1.1 QCT is part of the food safety team and their primary responsibility is food safety.
2.0 Inspection of products
2.1 QCT will inspect products at regular intervals and document their findings.
2.2 QCT will follow cGMP when inspecting.
3.0 Sampling and Retaining
3.1 QCT will sample products and retain samples. Retain samples will be kept legible and organized.
3.2 QCT will collect data plus weigh samples of products.
3.3 QCT will discard retain samples upon their expiration.
4.0 Testing and Correcting
4.1 QCT will follow basic testing instructions.
4.2 QCT will use resources available for correction solutions.
4.3 QCT will not perform test for which s/he was not trained for.
5.0 Reporting and Notifying
5.1 QCT will report in writing their findings and discrepancies.
5.2 QCT will notify QA or other management with product concerns.
QCTs are responsible for the maintenance of QC equipment and calibrations, QCT will operate carefully and handle properly.
Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing/emailing, and filing. Maintain hard copy and electronic filing systems.
Miscellaneous Tasks:
i. The QCT should properly clean QC equipment and dirty utensils before leaving each day.
ii. All countertops and other visibly dirty areas should be wiped down and cleaned accordingly.
iii. All reagents, equipment and other items of use should be put away each day.
iv. The QCT will return all dry glassware, etc. back to its designated storage area.
v. Provide orientation for new employees.
MP Expectations
i. Show up for work every day on time. The QCT will call if he/she is going to be tardy or absent due to illness, etc.
ii. Maintain a neat and orderly appearance.
iii. Handle responsibility well.
iv. Perform the tasks required of a QCT even if there is no direct supervision.
v. Maintain a clean and organized QC Room (area).
vi. Maintain a healthy attitude reflective of the importance of his work.
vii. Not be afraid to speak up if problems or questions arise.
Knowledge and skill requirements:
1. High school diploma or GED required. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and arithmetic.
2. 1 year experience preferred
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office or other word processing and spreadsheet software.
4. Able to follow rules, policies, and procedures applicable to departmental operations.
5. Bilingual preferably
