As a Rental Coordinator with a focus on department growth, you will lead the strategic expansion of our rental operations, driving revenue growth and market penetration. You will be responsible for developing and executing initiatives to enhance the department's performance, expand our customer base, and capitalize on emerging market opportunities.
Responsibilities
1. Rental Coordination - Engage with clients to understand their project requirements and timelines. Provide expert advice on suitable equipment options based on their needs. Managing the rental process, including booking reservations, processing rental agreements, and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
2. Inventory Management - Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's inventory of heavy equipment, including specifications, availability, and maintenance schedules. Track incoming and outgoing rental equipment and overseeing the inventory of rental items or equipment, ensuring items are properly maintained, organized, and available for rental.
3. Scheduling and Logistics - Coordinating the delivery and pickup of rental items, ensuring timely and efficient logistics to meet customer requirements.
4. Strategic Planning - Develop and implement strategies to accelerate the growth of the rental department, aligning with company objectives and market trends. Identify new business opportunities and target markets for expansion.
5. Customer Service Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships. Address any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally. Interacting with customers, both in person and over the phone, to answer inquiries, provide information about available rentals, and assist in selecting the appropriate rental items for their needs.
6. Equipment Recommendation - Utilize your knowledge of heavy equipment to recommend the most appropriate machinery for clients' projects, considering factors such as size, capacity, and functionality.
7. Billing and payments - Prepare accurate rental quotes for clients and negotiate rental terms and contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Generating invoices, processing rental payments, and resolving any billing issues or discrepancies
8. Market Analysis - Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demand for heavy equipment rentals. Provide insights and recommendations to management for enhancing our rental services.
9. Documentation and Administration - Ensure all rental agreements, contracts, and paperwork are completed accurately and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
10. Collaboration - Work closely with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and maintenance, to coordinate equipment deliveries, pickups, and servicing to meet client timelines.
11. Observe health and safety precautions required to protect people and property.
12. Oversee and assist with loading and securing of equipment for delivery.
13. All other duties as assigned.
