Renal Dialysis Technician jobs in Topeka, KS
Renal Dialysis Technician under the supervision of a registered nurse, performs required monitoring and duties during patient dialysis treatment. Prepares machine and solutions according to protocol. Being a Renal Dialysis Technician monitors patient before, during, and after treatment. Administers prescribed treatment according to physician and nursing orders. Additionally, Renal Dialysis Technician documents all treatment details as required. Ensures patient safety and comfort during treatment. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and may require the Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) or be required to be working towards the certification. Typically reports to a registered nurse. The Renal Dialysis Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Assignment Detail for our Dialysis Travel Patient Care Technician in this location:- 13 Week Travel Assignment
- Chronic Setting
The Dialysis Travel Patient Care Technician provides dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
The Dialysis Travel Patient Care Technician duties include:- Setup and operation of hemodialysis machines
- Welcoming of assigned patients and reporting any patient complaints about well-being to the nurse supervisor
- Monitoring of patient response to dialysis and reporting any unusual findings or issues to the nurse supervisor
- Discontinuing of dialysis treatment according to clinic procedures and evaluation of the patient prior to discharge
- Documentation of all information related to patient treatment
