Renal Dialysis Technician jobs in San Antonio, TX
Renal Dialysis Technician under the supervision of a registered nurse, performs required monitoring and duties during patient dialysis treatment. Prepares machine and solutions according to protocol. Being a Renal Dialysis Technician monitors patient before, during, and after treatment. Administers prescribed treatment according to physician and nursing orders. Additionally, Renal Dialysis Technician documents all treatment details as required. Ensures patient safety and comfort during treatment. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and may require the Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) or be required to be working towards the certification. Typically reports to a registered nurse. The Renal Dialysis Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent experience is required. Course of study in repair and maintenance of dialysis equipment or RO water treatment is required. National Certification through BONENT or NANT preferred. Two years of experience in preventive maintenance activities, maintenance and repair of dialysis machines, and water treatment equipment are required
