    This adjunct position will remain open for 1 year to allow departments' access to candidate pools when there is a need to hire an adjunct to teach a course(s) during defined academic semester(s).

    Job Description
    St. Cloud State University is seeking applications for potential adjunct instructors who qualify to teach in the College of Liberal Arts- Department of Religious Studies.
    First-year courses such as World Religions, Hebrew Bible, New Testament, and Race and Religion. Second-year courses such as Introduction to Islam, Asian Religions, and Comparative Religious Ethics. Individuals interested in being considered for part-time, adjunct teaching positions in the Religious Studies Program should have the following qualifications:
    Required Qualifications
    • Master's Degree in Religious Studies or in related fields (e.g. Jewish Studies, Christian Scripture, History)
    • Evidence of the ability to teach and work with persons from diverse backgrounds
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Teaching experience in Higher Education, ideally in public Universities or Colleges
    • Evidence of teaching excellence is encouraged, such as sample syllabi, student evaluations, and/or letters of recommendation
