Reliability Engineer analyzes and evaluates the reliability of products, equipment, components, and processes using engineering methodologies and tools. Develops the methods and measures utilized for reliability analysis based on product specifications, tolerances, or operating standards. Being a Reliability Engineer utilizes analysis techniques like FMEA, fault tree, and root cause analysis to identify problems. Oversees testing activities and reviews results. Additionally, Reliability Engineer creates risk-based failure mitigation plans. Proposes new or revised product designs, manufacturing processes and testing specifications that utilize best practices and will increase reliability. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to an engineering manager. The Reliability Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Subject Matter Expert in enterprise networks, networking hardware, Designs solutions and implementations with a focus on automation, reliability, security and reduced production downtime.

    Education and Experience:

    • BA or BS, or relevant curriculum/certification/experience
    • Additional preferred qualifications:
      • Cisco Professional, Expert or Engineer Level certifications (for example, CCNP, CCIE)
      • Cybersecurity certifications (for example, CISSP, CISA, CEH, Security )
      • PMI Project Management Professional
    • Typically, 7 years of industry experience
    • Proven Track Record: 2 years as Senior IT Engineer or equivalent

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Technical Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement and maintain IT solutions.
    • Provide technical expertise to internal staff, across the entire organization, and clients.
    • Research and develop the application of new technologies, implementations, tools and automation.
    • Maintains, via change control process, updates, and new content, relevant QMS policies and procedures. Specifically, but not limited to:
      • network architecture
      • network hardware specifications
      • server room and rack layouts
      • interoffice connectivity
    • Responds to emergencies and unexpected service outages.
    • Leads root cause analysis and "post mortems" in response to unexpected service outages and unexpected results to feature and service deployments; documents results, makes design revisions, develops and deploys updates and automation.
    • Applies and develops monitoring.
    • Capacity planning.
    • Develop requirements (User Requirements Specifications, Functional Requirements Specifications, Computer System Design Specifications, Detailed Design Specifications).
    • Develop test documentation (Functional Tests, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Test).
    • Develop implementation plans.
    • Develop training and documentation.
    • Must be able to adapt and perform data architecture changes as needed and adhering to engineering standards.
    • Utilize technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of the industry and technology trends.
    • Contribute to the infrastructure enterprise engineering team that will evaluate, architect, and engineer enterprise solutions.
    • Be a point of escalation to assist with troubleshooting as required. Leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
    • Establishes guidelines and methods for the installation and management of network systems.
    • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical network resources.

    Customer Service:

    • Communicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with staff and customers.
    • Complete assigned tasks accurately, and on schedule.
    • Understand the scope of assigned work.
    • Escalate issues to the next tier of support or management in a timely fashion.
    • Provide onsite IT support to customer systems.
    • Interact with customers on projects

    Project Management Responsibilities:

    • Complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.
    • Lead individual project related tasks and/or small to mid-sized projects in their entirety.
    • Assume the ultimate responsibility for the successful completion of those projects or tasks on schedule and under budget.
    • Take on the role of the customer’s main contact on those projects that the employee is assigned to lead.
    • Identify changes in scope to overall projects and/or tasks.
    • Provide support on other projects or tasks that are scheduled to be led by others.
    • Manage and delegate assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.
    • Understands and anticipates customer needs.
    • Accurately estimates the duration and difficulty of tasks.
    • Ensures the team adheres to a realistic schedule and budget.
    • Seeks opportunities for new work with customers and contractors.
    • Promotes a positive/collaborative team culture.

    Supervisor Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Interpret requirements, specifications, and diagrams.
    • Demonstrated expertise in network infrastructure design, development, and deployment.
    • Expert in network redundancy.
    • Specify networking hardware.
    • Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
    • Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
    • Ability to communicate network issues to peers, management, and stakeholders.
    • Expertise in Cisco networking hardware and software technologies.
    • Expertise in Microsoft networking technologies.
    • Demonstrated experience working on industrial networks.

    Travel Required:

    • Overnight travel as required. Up to 25%.

    On Call:

    • As required.

    Work Authorization/Other Requirements:

    • Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required
    • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
    • Fit for Duty at all times.
