Role Purpose: Developer – Reliability Engineering
WWT is currently seeking a Developer to join the Reliability Engineering team. As a valued member of the team, the Developer will be responsible for designing and managing solutions to enhance the reliability and scalability of IT operations. The ideal candidate is a smart, passionate technologist who is excited by the idea of treating operational concerns as software problems. We seek to blend software engineering with systems engineering to design, develop, run, and scale the next generation of systems for a global company that demands innovative real-world
solutions with positive user experiences. The Reliability Engineering team consists of software engineers with development backgrounds and operations engineers with infrastructure backgrounds. We will cross-train relevant skillsets to those who want to learn, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to stretch the meaning of “full-stack developer” all the way to bare metal.
Our team is responsible for:
- Collection and strategic application of metrics to drive organizational decisions
- Provide holistic view of system health using observability practices
- Automation platforms and practices to help teams eliminate toil and expand capabilities
- Alerting, monitoring and observability to drive reliability across operation and development organizations.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional experience in software development
- Knowledge of programming languages Python, Go, or equivalent
- Experience working with Agile methodology
- Knowledge of system frameworks including Git and GitHub
- Familiarity with object-oriented development Test-First development mindset with functional, end-to-end and regression testing experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Automation, including tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform
- Interest in Metrics, Monitoring and Alerting, including tools like Prometheus and Grafana, Big Panda, Splunk, etc.
- Kubernetes experience
