Being a Reliability Engineer utilizes analysis techniques like FMEA, fault tree, and root cause analysis to identify problems. Oversees testing activities and reviews results. Additionally, Reliability Engineer creates risk-based failure mitigation plans. Proposes new or revised product designs, manufacturing processes and testing specifications that utilize best practices and will increase reliability. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to an engineering manager. The Reliability Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Reliability Engineer
Location: Boston, MA
Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000, 7% Bonus
Overview:
This is a great, newly created, opportunity for a reliability or maintenance engineer to jump on with a specialty chemical company with two sites in the Boston area: offering a lot of corporate visibility and future growth opportunity. This person will be covering the reliability program for two local sites with state of the art DCS controls systems, wearing multiple hats as they do with responsibilities ranging from day-to-day support to maintenance scheduling to vibration/lubrication analysis: all while reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This international chemical company has multiple sites across the US and overseas where candidates could be promoted to. Relocation assistance is being offered with a great PTO package.
Minimum Requirements:
· B.S. Mechanical Engineering
· 3 years maintenance and/or reliability experience out of a manufacturing setting
o Ideal industry would be PSM regulated chemicals, acceptable second choices include plastics, polymers, consumer products, etc.
