Ignite Digital Services has a great opportunity for a hybrid Release Management Lead in Charleston, SC or Hampton Roads area. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is a motivated self-starter, pays attention to detail, and can perform a variety of functions. The Release Management Lead will support customer with Program Management, documentation updates, and validate large quantities of information to make business decision. This role will provide Release Management support for multiple efforts as part of the PEO Digital Infrastructure & Services Modernization Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Responsibilities:

• Serves as the gatekeeper to the Operational environment, controlling Implementation of changes and releases into the Naval Enterprise Network (NEN) environment through enforcement of policies and procedures developed to ensure that compliance to DoD/Navy/Program Office guidance and best practices are consistently applied
• Establish framework, guidelines and procedures to sustain the Release Management Process
• Accountable for the overall design, function, performance and continuous improvements of the Release Management Process including its integration with other areas/functions/processes and proactive views of future changes
• Accountable for the day-to-day execution of the Release Management Process
• Analyzes and reports the overall performance of the Release Management Process, including challenges to all external groups, peers and senior level executives
• Analyzes and processes all Release Packages in parallel with Release and Deployment Plans (RDPs)
• Oversees, reviews and evaluates for acceptance all Contractor developed release products including the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk
• Determines the readiness for Release of all types of changes (Major, Minor or Emergency) into the Operational environment
• Collaborates across all disciplines to highlight the impact of changes before Release to the Operational environment
• Conducts the Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) with the Service Provider and stakeholders to ensure that packages were deployed as planned and that expected results were achieved
• Serves as an advisor to the Enterprise Change Control Board (ECCB) and Deployment Change Advisory Board (DCAB) events
• Coordinates and executes the weekly Release Change Advisory Board (RCAB) where changes receive acceptance for implementation
• Manages the processing, progress tracking and reporting of all release package implementations
• Provides support to Working IPT Leads, Engineers, Logisticians, Procurement and Contract Specialist

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business Management related Curriculum or Equivalent
• 7  years of specific experience related to Release Management
• 10  years of experience in project management, technical specifications development, process analysis and design
• IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 Foundations certification
• Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in interpreting requirements and driving towards execution

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Rational Asset Manager (RAM), HP Service Manager (HPSM), ServiceNow, or BMC Remedy
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Familiar with Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of Navy (DoN) Release Management Processes
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
• Advanced user in MS Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Remote, but must reside in our around Charleston, SC or Hampton Roads area – will include occasional travel to either location

Salary: $130,000 to align with education and experience
