The Release of Information (ROI) Supervisor is responsible for Responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining the Release of Information area of the HIM Department in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Supervise other Front Office HIM employees which includes initial and ongoing training in ROI and Scanning functions. Ensures and coordinates successful day-to-day operations of the ROI team by establishing work schedules, job priorities and coordinates team workflows with a view toward efficient and timely release of records. The ROI Supervisor is also responsible for quality auditing reviews and provides coverage in the event of backlogs, illness, vacation or leave of absence.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Completion of high school or equivalent.
2. Strong overall HIM knowledge in Release of Information workflows including state/federal retention laws.
3. Demonstrates good organization, time-management, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
4. Ability to be resourceful with strong problem resolution skills.
5. Ability to operate office equipment including computer, fax, and microfilm equipment.
6. Working knowledge of medical terminology.
7. Must understand the confidential nature of health care information.
8. Ability to communicate effectively and to work in a collaborative team environment
