Release Engineer is responsible for software builds and releases. Responsible for the design and development of builds, scripts, installation procedures, and systems including source code control and issue tracking. Being a Release Engineer works closely with a quality assurance team to ensure final version is up to organizational standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. The Release Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Release Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.   • The primary functions include assisting in the design and development of inspections methods, including procedures, gauging, implementing technologies or programming. This employee works with Quality Control, Product Development and Manufacturing Departments in planning for quality and resolving quality problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Major Responsibilities, including the following:

    • Reviews and evaluates engineering designs, plans and specifications. GD&T proficiency.
    • Determines inspection methods and gauges.
    • Performs general planning and administrative tasks associated with assigned projects; analyzes and develops or assists in development of project scopes.
    • Composes, creates, completes or maintains necessary documents, records and correspondence.
    • Efficiently conducts office research and investigations.
    • Ability to lead and resolve NCMR issues.
    • Ability to manage QMS programs such as Calibration and CAPA.
    • Ability to develop and drive to completion validation protocols for equipment and processes.
    • Visual acuity of 20/40 or better (with corrective lenses if necessary) is required.
    • Working knowledge of company's ERP as well as other business and quality IT tools.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    Associate or Bachelor degree in Engineering and over one-year experience desired. High School Diploma or G.E.D and 3 years experience as a Quality Technician.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
