Relationship Manager - Sales manages personal banking staff and daily operations to ensure customer satisfaction and develop client relationships. Focuses teams on identifying customer needs and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all bank products and services to explain, promote, and cross-sell products and services. Being a Relationship Manager - Sales ensures efficient processing of basic branch service transactions and accurate referrals to enable customers to access the right resource to facilitate other banking requests easily. Develops processes that enable staff to provide rapid research and solutions to account issues, answers to customer inquiries, and effective education and training on banking self-service technology. Additionally, Relationship Manager - Sales requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Relationship Manager - Sales supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Relationship Manager - Sales typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Relationship Manager to support and grow our Emerging Middle Market portfolio in Reno, NV.


    In this role, you will:

    • Structure and execute transactions and support more experienced staff with financial and credit research
    • Develop and maintain client relationships
    • Participate in the completion of transactions
    • Research, examine and interpret customer portfolio, competitors and related industry in order to prepare comprehensive credit reports
    • Review and interpret credit policies and procedures
    • Incorporate requirements into credit research, observations and lending recommendations
    • Perform credit underwriting which accounts for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations
    • Monitor and maintain an existing loan portfolio which includes ongoing interpretation and analysis of financial information to determine borrower compliance
    • Communicate with product partners and prepare materials for prospective and client presentations
    • Identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services to be sold and presented to clients
    • Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development
    • Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
    • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
    • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
    • Lead team to achieve objectives


    Required Qualifications, US:

    • 2 years of Commercial Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


    Desired Qualifications:

    • Account relationship management experience
    • In market business development within the segment
    • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of commercial lending, commercial lending products, and credit practices
    • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of negotiating: interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements
    • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of risk management and portfolio management
    • Experience consistently delivering strong sales performance
    • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Strong organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills

    Pay Range

    $73,100.00 - $129,900.00
