National Health Care Associates, provider of high-quality long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services with skilled nursing facilities in the Northeast U.S., is seeking a Manager of Budget & Reimbursement to join our team at our corporate office in Valley Stream, on the border of Queens and Nassau County. Responsibilities and Duties
This position will be responsible for managing/coordinating all third-party reimbursement functions, including but not limited to:
Work with our Accounting firms to coordinate the process of preparing and submitting annual Medicare, Medicaid and State statistical reports.
Collaborate with corporate and facility staff with respect to developing our annual operating and capital budgets,
Perform performance reviews of financial results, compared to budgeted expectations.
Work with State officials/delegates related to Medicaid/Medicare cost report audits, third party rate reviews and appeals.
Managed/coordinate Certificate of Need process, related to capital projects.
Perform all qualitative/quantitative analysis, as needed, related to capital acquisitions.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
5-10 years Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing, Hospital or Home Care Accounting experience strongly preferred
Budgeting, Nursing Home Cost Reporting, 3rd Party reimbursement rates (Medicare, Medicaid)
Strong Qualitative and Quantitative skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains Software or similar general ledger/accounting system
Thorough working knowledge of Excel
