Rehabilitation Services Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the rehabilitation therapy function. Supervises the delivery of therapy programs to patients. Being a Rehabilitation Services Supervisor responsibilities include providing consultation to and monitoring the performance of the rehabilitation staff. Oversees staff and ensures that all policies and procedures are followed as set forth by the health care facility. Additionally, Rehabilitation Services Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a license in the area of specialization. The Rehabilitation Services Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT:
Rehabilitation Technicians work as part of a team to provide assistance to the therapy department. The Rehabilitation Technician performs routine activities to support the provision of patient services and therapy department operations. Major duties may include patient transport, preparation for patient visits, organizing clinic, maintaining supply/equipment inventory, scheduling, and assisting therapists/staff. The Rehab tech may be responsible for assisting in departmental communications which may include attendance at meetings and communicating with nursing staff. Additional duties may be assigned by the facility Therapy Director.
