Rehabilitation Services Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the rehabilitation therapy function. Supervises the delivery of therapy programs to patients. Being a Rehabilitation Services Supervisor responsibilities include providing consultation to and monitoring the performance of the rehabilitation staff. Oversees staff and ensures that all policies and procedures are followed as set forth by the health care facility. Additionally, Rehabilitation Services Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires a license in the area of specialization. The Rehabilitation Services Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation therapy discipline (e.g., PT, OT, ST, TR, MT) and four (4) years of clinical experience in a hospital therapy setting, preferably inpatient rehabilitation. Previous leadership experience required. Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or Quality preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Music Therapist by the appropriate State of Alabama Board required. Currently certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
