Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home jobs in New York
Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Develops and implements rehabilitation programs by working with the operational leadership team and medical staff. Being a Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home develops and implements policies and procedures regarding staffing and budget. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a professional certification. The Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Assistant Director of Nursing Services - ADON / ADNS
Brooklyn Gardens Nursing and Rehab Center is actively seeking an ADNS/ADON to serve in our skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a long-term care setting, and experience in training and leading clinical staff. Premium compensation & comprehensive benefits package provided. A current Registered Nurse RN License is required.
DUTIES:
- Meet the nursing and medical needs of all residents
- Responsible for coordinating infection control
- Responsible for educating the staff
- Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff
- On call
- Coordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice
- Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records
- Assist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staff
- Oversee daily staffing process
- Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs
- Facilitate facility In-services
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current New York RN license required
- Long-Term Care experience preferred
- 2 years of management experience preferred
- 1-year staff education experience preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills required
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision
