Regulatory Relations Specialist jobs in Roanoke, VA

As a Public Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, and nurturing activities that promote a positive image of our client. You will play a pivotal role in managing media relations, developing PR strategies, and executing campaigns to drive positive awareness around the Foot Levelers brand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Write and submit press releases, announcements, articles, and editorial mentions in chiropractic and consumer publications, websites, and other media outlets.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with editors and media contacts through various communication channels.
• Maintain databases for contacts and media coverage.
• Develop strategies to improve public relations impressions and reputation, including proposing article themes and press release events.
• Conduct research for programs and projects.
• Maintain the public relations section of the company website by saving relevant press releases and materials.
• Assist with long-range planning of the company’s public relations efforts.
• Assess and track current public relations efforts weekly.
• Lead end-to-end execution of PR campaigns and programs.
• Develop a strong understanding of the company’s brand, customer needs, key differentiators, and market trends.
• Manage an ongoing brand testimonial program with an emphasis on social conscience.
• Create and maintain community awareness of the client.
• Travel to conventions to enhance client image and network with media, as needed.
• Create and implement seasonal chiropractic campaigns.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Personal Requirements: Before Hire:

• 1-3 years of previous experience in a similar position required; 5 or more years preferred.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines and travel.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work with limited direct supervision and demonstrate professionalism.

After Hire:

• Knowledge of all Marketing Department Standard Operating Procedures.
• Knowledge of FLI products, culture, and personnel policies and procedures.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing Communication, English, or equivalent education and work experience.

Work Location:

• Onsite position located in Roanoke, VA.
