Our customers invest with us, we invest in you. Apply today. About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Regulatory Relations (RR) Specialist in the Corporate Risk Regulatory Relations Team. The Corporate Risk Regulatory Relations Team is responsible for leading end-to-end regulatory engagements impacting Corporate Risk, including, but not limited to, regulatory examinations, supervisory meetings, information requests, and responses to regulatory findings. The Lead Regulatory Relations Specialists will act as primary contact for regulators for information requests and coordinate updates to regulators on remediation activities, as well as provide regulatory interaction support including meeting preparation, meeting facilitation and notes, and follow up actions for Corporate Risk. The incumbent will be broadly responsible for supporting the team in engaging with regulators, managing exams, coordinating ad hoc regulatory requests, as well as leading select efforts and working independently. In this role, you will: Lead and advise on complex and broadly impactful regulatory relations strategy, governance, communications, and interactions, including those that are cross functional, large-scale, or which may include multiple regulatory agencies Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term regulatory approaches and engagements that require in-depth evaluation of multiples factors, including technical challenges, intangibles, or unprecedented factors Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, regulations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals, integrating approach for matters which cross functions or regulatory agencies Lead projects, virtual teams, and serve as a peer mentor to ensure appropriate preparation, accountability, and consistent delivery on regulatory commitments, execution of regulatory relations policy and procedures, or other initiatives Represent regulatory relations, in concert with business partners, before regulatory agencies on policy matters, responses, commitments, needs, and approach in adherence to policy and procedure Research and assess internal and external regulatory environment to identify and report on themes, emerging trends, and risks, sharing insights with team and leadership to resolve concerns Work with partners to aggregate and report on regulatory actions for key stakeholders including executive leadership, the board of directors, and regulators to ensure consistency with strategy and approach Required Qualifications: 5 years of Regulatory Relations or Risk Management, includes Regulatory Relations, Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated experience managing response process for federal regulatory examinations. Ability to synthesize trends in examinations across regulatory bodies and throughout the organization. Ability to communicate understanding across key stakeholders to drive efficient and concise execution of regulatory engagements Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to facilitate collaboration at all levels of the organization Ability to prepare and present senior level communications Ability to coordinate, lead and facilitate group meetings.
