    The Agency for Health Care Administration is Florida's chief health policy and planning entity.

    The Agency is responsible for administering the Florida Medicaid program, the licensure and regulation of nearly 50,000 health care facilities, and empowering consumers through health care transparency initiatives.

     

    Under the direction of Agency Secretary Jason Weida, the Agency is focused on advancing Governor DeSantis’ vision for Florida’s health care system to be the most cost-effective, transparent, and high-quality health care system in the nation.

    NOTE: This is an OPS position.

     

    This position provides clerical support to professional staff in a field office within the Division of Health Quality Assurance.

     

    Utilizes microcomputer equipment and software for input, retrieval and storage of data required to perform licensure and certification functions.

     

    Inputs and stores provider data, including but not limited to survey findings and follow-up findings for retrieval.

     

    Assembles survey packets for routine long-term care, home health, lab, complaint investigations and initial survey when monthly schedules are generated or when schedules are updated.

     

    Provides data, updating, listing, schedules and other print out materials from stored information as may be required.

     

    Maintains master logs/schedules.

     

    Answers division telephone line; responds to routine inquiries and performs routine mail outs, performs photocopying and faxing, licensure and certification filing as well as other clerical duties as assigned.

     

    Provides phone coverage in main reception area along with mail distribution as needed or directed.20147.

     

    Tracks complex scheduling, reporting, and filing to ensure licensure surveys are conducted and completed within required timeframes. 

     

    Utilizes a number of complex information systems such as ASPEN Central Office (ACO), ASPEN Surveyor Explorer (ASE), OSCAR, Admin Acts, OASIS, VERSA , Impromptu, Microsoft Access, Excel, and scheduling systems.

     

    Coordinates the work output of the field office functions necessary for storage and retrieval of all data either in electronic format or paper. 

     

    Maintains files of survey reports.

     

    This position will be hired at the base salary of $15.00 hourly, non-negotiable.

     

    Bilingual in English and Spanish Strongly Preferred.

    What is OPS employment?

    OPS employment is a temporary employer/employee relationship used for accomplishing short term or intermittent tasks.  OPS employees are at-will employees and are subject to actions such as pay changes, changes to work assignment, and terminations at the pleasure of the agency head or designee.

    OPS employees do not serve probationary periods or become permanent in their positions because they serve at the pleasure of the agency head.

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    - Knowledge of the principles and practices of health care management.

    - Knowledge of health care facilities and operations.

    - Skill in the use of computer equipment and software to enter, retrieve, and manipulate data required to perform work functions.

    - Ability to coordinate work assignments.

    - Ability to interpret rules, regulations, laws, and guidelines relating to health care administration.

    - Ability to evaluate data and make recommendations.

    - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

    - Ability to communicate effectively.

    - Ability to prepare reports.

    - Ability to lift a laptop/ tablet computer and work manuals.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

    •At least one (1) year of administrative or clerical experience.

    •A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

    •Professional or non-professional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the preferred college education.
