    Experience Requirements:

    • Three years’ experience in event planning, community relations or non-profit work is required.
    • Experience with the Auto Industry is preferred but not required.

    Responsibilities:

    •       Managing and actively participating in Kendall Cares charity activities, ensuring Kendall and manufacturer brand standards are upheld in assigned activities.
    •       Solicit, receive, and prioritize charitable and sponsorship requests, negotiate terms, verify that contracted benefits are received, manage billing and payments.
    •       Content creation of internal blog, Kendall Cares website as well as social networking/media.
    •       Budgeting for Kendall Cares, Dealership co-op and calendar tracking.
    •       Planning and implementing Kendall Cares, Dealership and employee engagement activities.
    •       Attending Community meetings of business-to-business organizations.
    •       Develop and maintain strong relationships with local community organizations.
    •       Network on behalf of Kendall Auto Group and Kendall Cares outreach at community events.
    •       Consult with General Managers and Marketing Team for creative campaigns.
    •       Develop and oversee in-store marketing/grassroots campaigns.
    •       Act as Kendall representative at community events and with community outreach activities.
    •       Act as Kendall spokesperson for press related activities including radio and tv.
    •       Track projects, outreach and invoices systematically for easy reference by management team.
    •       Display a commitment to maintaining Kendall outreach standards.

    The Community Relations Specialist needs to be creative, a self-starter, be flexible with their schedule, and willing to travel between stores locally often and out of state occasionally. The position is considered full time, generally 40 hours per week. Although base hours are during the day Monday-Friday, the position will frequently require working early mornings, evenings and weekends based on community event schedules. 

    Working conditions for this position are varied and will depend on event locations, time of year, and event type. A valid driver’s license with good driving record is required.
