The Regulatory Compliance Specialist is responsible for administering, developing and implementing the Stonewall Kitchen (SWK) Cosmetic Safety Program in accordance with FDA Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA) and the Food Safety Program in accordance with the FDA Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Food and Drugs. is responsible for administering, developing and implementing the Stonewall Kitchen (SWK) Cosmetic Safety Program in accordance with FDA Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA) and the Food Safety Program in accordance with the FDA Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Food and Drugs.

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm 

JOB SUMMARY

• Responsible for cosmetic safety substantiations, product registrations, proper labeling and confirmation of cosmetic facility registration for all cosmetic suppliers, to determine compliance with the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA)
• Responsible for the assessment of documentation for all vendors and finish products, including primary packaging, to determine compliance with the FDA Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21, Food and Drugs, SWK Vendor Compliance specifications, GFSI standards and HACCP/Preventive Controls
• Fulfill internal and external customer requests for documentation (specification sheets, 3rd party certification, proof of organic certification, Non-GMO verification, etc.)
• Work with Quality, Product Development and Purchasing in support of maintaining the Trace Gains Platform
• Develop an internal scorecard for all vendors
• Conduct annual audits of vendor documentation for compliance

Requirements

• Minimum of a 2-year degree in food and/or cosmetics technology, processing, manufacturing, quality or equivalent certification or experience along with 2 years of experience.
• Experience preferred in Quality Assurance in a food and/or cosmetics manufacturing environment with knowledge of FDA, 3rd party and State regulations.
• Computer and analytical skills
• Written and verbal communication and organizational skills
• The ability to embrace change, work in a team environment and can-do attitude a must
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to list 30 lbs. on occasion, stand for several hours at a time, and the ability to climb stairs
