Regulatory Relations Liaison is responsible for filing necessary applications and handling all government interactions pertaining to the regulation and certification process for a plant or other facility. Develops procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Being a Regulatory Relations Liaison prepares reports for top management detailing projects that may impact the organization's regulation status. May represent the organization before federal or state legislations. Additionally, Regulatory Relations Liaison requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Regulatory Relations Liaison typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. This position provides compliance guidance to Customer Contact Center (CCC) employees and other company personnel while RI PUC regulations and other PUC guidelines. The incumbent prepares regulatory reports to the leadership and identifies opportunities to improve compliance results. This position identifies the optimum balance among adhering to PUC regulations, satisfying customers, collecting overdue receivables, and improving overall effectiveness through process changes and/or technology solutions. The Regulatory Specialist will also be responsible for the timely filing of all Customer Regulatory Reporting as defined in the business compliance tracker. #RIE
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 7 years of equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years' experience in the energy industry with a focus on the appropriate one of the following: credit and collection, billing, business operations and planning, customer service, regulatory and or finance.
Broad knowledge of customer service systems
Broad knowledge of metering, billing, and credit and collections regulatory requirements.
Broad knowledge of all other regulatory rules
Strong verbal and written communication skills

MBA
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
