Regulatory Relations Liaison is responsible for filing necessary applications and handling all government interactions pertaining to the regulation and certification process for a plant or other facility. Develops procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Being a Regulatory Relations Liaison prepares reports for top management detailing projects that may impact the organization's regulation status. May represent the organization before federal or state legislations. Additionally, Regulatory Relations Liaison requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Regulatory Relations Liaison typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Regulatory Relations Liaison typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. To be a successful Medicaid Liaison (Provider Relations) you must become able to do the following always:
Support the permanency and cross-over case management teams by troubleshooting Medicaid issues and interfacing with community stakeholders.
Serve as a liaison for the Company with the Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) as well as any specialty service providers that may offer unique services to our children, youth, and families.
Respond to MCO inquiries within 2 business days, via e-mail or phone, and document all correspondence in our electronic client record.
Serve as the credentialing specialist to ensure the therapists connected to this contract are credentialed with the MCOs.
Host quarterly meetings with external services providers to discuss any needs and system improvements that we can address to partner and serve our families better.
Conduct community stakeholders meetings.
Partner with the internal communications department to develop community messaging.
Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
To qualify for this job, you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in social services field required.
Work Experience – Two years of experience working in child welfare, mental health clinic or related fields. Knowledge and experience working with Medicaid is preferred.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Credentialing experience is required.
Able to work independently on projects or assignments.
21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
Maintain company-required training.
Ability to travel throughout the state.
