Regional Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a region. Manages multiple districts within a region and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each district. Being a Regional Sales Manager designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies. Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume. Additionally, Regional Sales Manager collects relevant competitors' market information to increase sales volume and market share. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Regional Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Regional Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We’re currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join our growing Outside Sales team. The Regional Sales Manager is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with our distributor customers in their assigned territory (Southeastern USA). In this role, you will build upon the strong reputation that our company has within the industry and provide products to our distributor customers that meet and exceed their requirements. You will be expected to prospect and close deals with new and existing distributor customers.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop & grow new business relationships with potential and existing customers in assigned territory.
    • Utilize business acumen to forecast & execute on sales growth while maintaining margin objectives.
    • Develop a sales plan using a Monthly Schedule to effectively manage assigned territory, including reporting on progress in territory and opportunities for growth through a Monthly Report
    • Utilize a consultative selling approach to understand customer product needs and craft solutions that meet/exceed their requirements.
    • Effectively communicate our value proposition during Quarter Business Reviews with your manager, in-depth knowledge of product lines, and promotion of signature brand products & VMI opportunities
    • Travel regularly via company car throughout assigned territory
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Experience:


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:

    • 5 years of outside territorial sales experience, including new account acquisition
    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience in industrial distribution or supply chain
    • Experience in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Machining segments
    • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial products, including metal cutting tools and MRO
    • Proven track record of managing and growing sales territory
    • Ability to quickly build relationships with key decision makers in client organizations
    • Excellent communication, presentation, listening, negotiation, and interpersonal are required
    • Self-directed and possesses a high level of process discipline, productivity, and personal organization
    • Plans and organizes tasks & work responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives while remaining calm & professional under pressure
    • Proficient use of a Windows computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) & Teams
    • Must be age 21 to drive a company vehicle
    • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
