    Position Summary:  The purpose of this job is to ensure:  1) Strategic Consistency: ensure consistency in operations and culture across all branches; 2) Operational Excellence:  Aim for high standards in 

    service, aligning with our vision of providing a cutting-edge community bank experience; and 3) Enhanced Communication: bridge potential gaps, ensure branches are on the same strategic page,

    maximizing efficiency in staffing and procedures while protecting the bank. 

     

    Essential Functions-Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities (90%):

    Essential Task Statement(s) -   Branch Credit/Ownership (80%)

     

    • 1:1 meeting getting to know each team member personally - asking questions and listening. 
    • Understanding team member’s career goals and coach up for high performance. 
    • Create accountability around constant two/way communication with their staff. 
    • Participate in annual reviews with City President. Report progress or there lack of to the City President and Director of Branch Administration. 
    • Understand and coach on branch efficiency and how to utilize everyone’s talent and time productively. 
    • Be involved in all personnel decisions, i.e. hiring and disciplinary actions. 
    • Outside joint Sales calls monthly. 
    • Make sure BM is using all online banking tools and coaching their branch consistently on their effectiveness. (Secure lock, OLB, mobile, bill pay, ID Theft monitoring, etc.)
    • Coach on non-interest income and always referring to wealth management, Cash Management, and mortgage. 
    • Coaching on having productive and engaging meetings with their team and creating accountability - 1:1 and team meetings focused on communication and morale. 
    • Coaching on how to have hard conversations. 
    • Coaching on follow up after account opening (calling every customer 2 wks. after new acct) look for cross sale and referral opportunities. 
    • Coach on mining data in connections - maturing reports, closed account report, single service reports, top-balance on both deposits and loan reports, and household retention reports. 
    • Coach on Moments That Matter - shop and hold accountability for better results. 
    • Coach up to a needs-based selling process. 
    • Create accountability to providing a community bank experience in every opportunity. Handwritten thank you notes every week, two-week follow-up calls on new accounts, follow-up on high balance closed accounts etc. 
    • Coach on utilizing calendar efficiently. 
    • Serve as point of contact for decision-making in inclement weather situations/branch closing procedures. 
    • Ensure bank is in compliance with federal banking regulations including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, Community Reinvestment Act, American with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Federal Reserve’s “lettered” regulations, and Regional Retail Officer roles and responsibilities relating to each act.

       Customer Service (10%)

    • Represent Guaranty Bank & Trust Company professionally, efficiently, and tactfully.
    • Acknowledge and greet customers with a smile, call customer by their name, ask if they need any additional assistance, thank customer at end of every conversation.
    • Ensure continuing development of professional relationships with management and colleagues. 
    • Follow all bank policies and procedures.
    • Answer and assist incoming callers with questions and requests, subsequently route callers, as appropriate.
    • Receive incoming bank visitors and assist in directing them appropriately.

       

    Additional Functions-Secondary Responsibilities and Accountabilities (10%)

    • Extensive travel is required. Expected to be onsite regularly in assigned bank locations.
    • Work overtime, as needed.
    • Follow all bank policies and procedures
    • Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned and requested.

     

    Position Qualifications

       Education:       Required – High School Diploma or equivalent.

                                  Preferred – Bachelor’s degree; experience will be considered.

    Experience:      Required -  5 to 7 years of experience in banking or related field.

    Preferred – 10 years of experience in banking or a related area.
