Job Summary:
As the Vice President, Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of distribution facilities and expansions to support business growth by ensuring efficient processing of merchandise, while developing logistics and distribution strategies/processes to support the goals of the organization.
· Lead implementation of distribution facilities and expansions to support planned business growth.
· Develop logistics and distribution strategies/processes to support the goals of the organization.
· Manage and lead any 3PL distribution partner – execute SLA’s, develop annual and operating forecasts, budgeting and initiative planning, expansions as predicated by the business, and lead systems enhancements.
· Manage and lead freight activities to include day-to-day operational execution, rate and contract negotiation, budget / forecasting, and technology integration with key providers.
· Create and achieve logistics & distribution budget for operations to achieve organizational forecasts, targets and established benchmark KPI’s.
· Lead the deployment of a forward-thinking strategic vision on how to optimize logistics and distribution efficiencies regionally that will drive and sustain operational excellence and best practices.
· Ensure budgeted logistics and distribution costs and lead times are achieved.
· Continually collaborate cross functionally to evaluate how goods are packed, shipped and distributed to ensure efficient handling alternatives while supporting marketing brand initiatives.
· Ensure best in class WMS technology in the distribution network infrastructure suitable to the scope and size of the business along with disciplines that underlie a supply chain operation.
· Source new and leverage existing logistics and distribution partners to ensure market competitive rates and services while ensuring key business KPI’s are maintained.
· Manage, implement and maintain SOP’s, data and analytical models.
· Lead, evaluate and continuously improve the organizations logistics and distribution, packaging and compliance processes to streamline operations and eliminate non-value-added activities.
· Lead, coach and mentor direct/indirect reports to succeed and grow while ensuring optimal associate engagement and feedback are provided.
