Description
We are seeking a Regional Manager to oversee a portfolio of affordable communities in SE Texas. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of developing employees as well as taking distressed properties and implementing successful turnaround strategies. Must increase operational efficiencies, tenant relations, and occupancy levels. Will oversee all aspects of operations for the portfolio including financial planning, prepare for NSPIRE (formerly REAC) inspections. Evaluate staffing plans to identify key performers and develop succession plans to invest in high performing employees. Verify on-site staff are performing their duties (Annual Recertifications, Vouchers, EIV, Mov-Ins) at a high level. They will be responsible for continuous training and development of on-site staff to increase their knowledge on the programs offered (Section 8), leasing paperwork, work order management.
Responsibilities:
· Provide direction and leadership to property managers
· Ensure communities are meeting all financial, operation, and business metrics
· Work with the Vice President of operations to prepare annual budgets
· Ensure communities are thriving and providing positive tenant experiences
· Performs regular property inspections
· Responsible for providing coaching, counseling, and performance reviews to direct reports

Requirements
· 5 years’ experience in Affordable Housing required
· Demonstrated experience in leading teams
· Ability to work with cross-functional groups
· Knowledge of tax credit programs preferred but not required
· Proficiency with YARDI property management software preferred
· Proficient in MS Office package
· HCCP, COS Preferred
· CAM, CAPS, or CPM preferred
Education:
B.A. In Finance, Business, or Related Subject Preferred
