Regional Claims Manager manages the operations of an insurance claims department to meet operational, financial, and service requirements. Oversees the intake and processing of insurance claims for personal, property, or casualty loss based on coverage, appraisal, and verifiable damage. Being a Regional Claims Manager manages appraisal and examination staff and processes. Assures timely and proper disposition of claims based on policy provisions. Additionally, Regional Claims Manager recommends and implements best practices to ensure complete and thorough claim settlements, legal reviews, and investigations following company policies and insurance industry regulations. Determines the value of settlements for escalated claims. Manages negotiations of settlements and administration of claims in litigation. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Regional Claims Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Regional Claims Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Who We're Looking For

    The Claims Service Representative answers incoming calls in a professional manner and is professional in appearance and demeanor. They are also responsible for processing claim documents and a variety of other clerical duties.

    This position is based in-office and is not eligible for work from home/remote.

    On a Typical Day, You'll

    • Greet visitors and applicants in a professional, friendly and hospitable manner; directing them to the right person or department
    • Uphold company security access policy by vetting all visitors to the building via outside monitor system
    • Manage visitors log and issuing security passes
    • Maintain log of incoming mail/packages and notifies appropriate person or department
    • Direct callers to the appropriate adjuster or manager to resolve claims
    • File documents to the appropriate database
    • Effectively works and cooperates with co-workers, supervisors and clients
    • Maintains an organized reception area

    Required Skills:

    • Excellent attendance and punctuality
    • Professional in appearance and demeanor
    • Ability to effectively communicate with visitors, employees and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner
    • Excellent listening skills
    • Ability to handle difficult calls professionally
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Accurate data review and data entry skills
    • Organized, thorough and detail oriented
    • Ability to multi task
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Available for 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM shift Monday thru Friday

    Experience:

    • 1 - 2 years of receptionist experience required
    • 1 - 2 years experience with multi-line phone system required

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
