Human Resource Director
An exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Director has become available at the SAU106 - Timberlane Regional School District.
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or as a Business Administration or related field; Master degree preferred

Knowledge of Tyler – Infinite Visions software preferred. • At least five years of human resource management experience required.

The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the School District’s mission and talent strategy. The Director will work collaboratively and effectively with other members of the district including administrators, teachers, and staff. This is a rewarding full-time position with an outstanding School District.
This position will report directly to the Superintendent and will direct daily operational management of various human resources functions. The Director will also work as a key member of the leadership team and will exhibit excellent communication skills. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department. • Oversees the daily workflow of the department. • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. • Handles discipline and termination of district employees in accordance with the school district policy. Duties/Responsibilities: • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the district goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the district’s human resource compliance and strategy needs. • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leaves; disciplinary matters; disputes, grievances, and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management. • Coordinates union negotiations and collects data from surrounding school districts to assist in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements. • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the district’s human resource information system (HRIS). • Monitors and ensures the district’s compliance with federal, State, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance. • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
