Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Patient Referral. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient referrals and ensuring smooth transitions between healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and insurance verification.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate patient referrals from primary care physicians to specialists

Assisting to locate Patients and linking individuals to Clinic Services.

- Obtain necessary medical records and documentation for referral appointments

- Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorization for referrals

- Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding referral status

- Ensure all HIPAA regulations are followed when handling patient information

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all referral activities

- Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure seamless patient care

Skills:

- Proficient in medical terminology and coding (ICD-9)

- Knowledge of medical office procedures and workflows

- Familiarity with dental office operations is a plus

- Experience in insurance verification and pre-authorization processes

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Note: All positions at our company are paid, including internship positions.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.71 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
