Generates and distributes all applicable forms, notifications, and paperwork. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Referral Specialist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. FTE: 1_, Shift: Days _, Schedule: Variable Position Summary The Referral Management Specialist assists in the development, coordination, implementation, and delivery of all referral management activities. The referral management specialist conducts needs assessments and performance improvement activities; determines and maintains quality assurance benchmarking processes to achieve increasingly effective and efficient performance and quality; ensures monthly audits for both quality assurance and productivity purposes are maintained, delivered to appropriate leadership teams, and functional; coordinates logistics and record keeping of quality assurance audits and productivity reports, and assists with policy development, standardized education, and maintenance of current changes and modifications. This role requires a high level of discretion and independent judgement in matters of significance related to the referral management standards within the health system.
