Inside sales specifically focuses on cold-calling, inactive accounts, lower volume purchasers, and providing quotes to all customers. As you become more experienced, you can support the outside sales force with lead generation, market intelligence, and contact with current customers. The most experienced inside sales specialists may be assigned to special projects, which require hands-on supervision of highly complex orders or those that require significant coordination with external entities.
