Recruiting Director plans, develops, and directs processes to attract, evaluate, and refer candidates for open positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting and other sourcing methods. Develops and enhances and organization's recruiting program, policies, and procedures. Being a Recruiting Director executes a strategy to position the organization as a preferred employer. Evaluates and communicates key metrics to develop appropriate recruitment strategies and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Additionally, Recruiting Director maintains relationships with schools, advertisement, and recruitment agencies. Oversees the recruitment for senior level and executive positions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Recruiting Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     We are seeking applicants for the position of Associate / Assistant Director of Recruiting Operations, reporting to the Director of Football Recruiting & Player Development. This is a one-year, fixed-term position with the opportunity for renewal on an annual basis. This position is based on the Stanford main campus.


    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Overseeing the admission of potential student athletes to Stanford University, which includes coordinating discussions with high school counselors about class schedules, conducting transcript evaluations for NCAA eligibility, and managing the admissions process for Stanford University.
    • Comanaging the transcript recovery process for all prospective student athletes using staff members, database, and high school coaches and counselors.
    • Managing all recruiting prospects’ personal information using a database to create and design face sheets for each prospect and family member(s) for official and unofficial visits.
    • Managing staff communication with prospects and their families through calls, texts, and mailers.
    • Managing the check-in process for recruiting visits on game days, ensuring compliance with ticket and name tag distribution.
    • Assist the Associate Director of Recruiting with prospective student athletes travel arrangements for official visits involving plane flights and car services.
    • Assist with planning and execution of on-campus recruiting visits. This includes food service, cart and car rental, and check-in process.
    • Ensure NCAA and Conference compliance and complete required documentation for all program and coaching staff recruiting activities in liaison with Compliance Services.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    To be successful in this role, you will bring:

    Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relative experience.

    • At least 6 years of experience working in college or pro sports is strongly preferred.
    • The candidate must have prior knowledge of NCAA rules compliance, excellent organizational and office management skills, and a strong attention to detail. The individual has to work under pressure and time constraints with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced atmosphere.
    • It is essential to have experience with recruiting database management software such as ACS, Front Rush, ARMS, HUDL or other services.
    • Must have a mastery of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
    • It is preferred to have demonstrated skill and creativity in graphic design with Adobe Photoshop.
    • It is preferred to have mastery of social media platforms. The individual must have the desire to continually update personal computing, communications and information technology knowledge.
    • The individual must work collaboratively with a large coaching and support staff and in many independent endeavors. Stanford Football is looking for an energetic and positive individual who can meet the demands of supporting a Division I football program.

    The expected pay range for this position is $33.17/hr - $43.75/hr. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
