The Recruiter Specialist position is responsible for implementing and supervising processes that fall under the Recruiting Department, which is part of the Human Resources Department. The Recruiter Specialist will work with the Recruiter Assistant to assure consistent interviews for open positions are set-up for the Recruiter Specialist's assigned location(s). The Recruiting Department is responsible for making job offers for open positions with the agency will work with Human Resources "HR" to help new hires go through the onboarding process. The Human Resources Department includes Recruiter Specialists and Recruiter Assistant, who report to the Human Resources Manager.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND SKILLS
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Make a minimum of 15-20 job offers per month
- Have on calendar 5-8 interviews per day; screen candidate resumes on job applications on job boards used by the agency to meet this goal
- Send interview reminders prior to interview date to assure candidate is present for interview
- Complete (virtually/in-person) interviews and file interview forms for all interviews performed via agency software
- Connect with the Recruiter Assistant to strategize on outreach, discuss trends being overserved, and barriers being experienced
- Keep track of supplies needed for the hire packets and submit supply requests in a timely manner
- Maintain pre-made hire packet on hand to assure they are mailed out in a timely manner once HR has confirmed the packet can be mailed out
- Make a job offer to candidate no later than one day since the interview took place
- Inform candidates who accept the job offer what the next steps are
- Immediately inform HR once a candidate has accepted a job offer for HR to start onboarding process
- Update software systems and/or tracking files with information pertaining to the Recruiting Department
- Update applicant status on job boards in a timely manner and complete documentation according to department process
- Assist with monitoring and responding to communication coming into the Human Resources Department from internal and external entities
- Drive to agency events including but not limited to job fairs that may fall outside of assigned scheduled hours
- Perform other business functions as the business demands
- Document and submit your weekly goals, accomplishments, and feedback to your supervisor
Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with the following:
- Provide "5" star customer service experience
- Know and understand the vision, values, and goals of Desire Home Care and Home Health
- Recruit strategically to effectively find the right candidates to fill urgent needs and proactively continue to hire future needs
- Monitor the quality and number of candidates and applicants on job boards utilized to assure agency needs are being filled
- Understand, design, and implement overall recruiting and onboarding strategy to fit up to date trends for the home care and home health industry
- Effectively communicate with department managers about recruiting fulfillment and challenges
- Assists HR with new hires as needed to assure they feel welcomed and confident in starting their new job with the agency
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
- Plan and organize in person and virtual hiring events
- Conduct presentations and in person trainings as needed
- Practice teamwork mentality and can self-manage tasks at an individual level
- Keep confidentiality
- Complete assigned trainings
- Follow verbal and written policies and procedures
- Implement critical thinking to work effectively in a work environment with high levels of interruptions
- Preserve a healthy and comfortable work environment for yourself and your colleagues
- Manage your work schedule to assure meal and rest breaks are taken in a timely manner
- Communicate ideas and ask questions that can lead to enhancing recruiting efforts
- Effectively meet multiple deadlines and prioritize accordingly
Documents/Skills Required
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- Two (2) years experience in home care, senior care, social services, or equivalent is prefered
- Bilingual in Spanish is a must
- Strong customer service background
- Critical thinking/negotiation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be an effective communicator both verbally and written form
- Possesses strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Must have strong work ethics with goal driven focus
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- PC proficient to include MS Office, MS Excel, Outlook, and the internet
- Ability to work with office equipment
- Pass a background check and maintain criminal background clearance throughout DHC employment due to nature of services provided
- Valid Drivers license and auto insurance policy
