This is a Stanford Blood Center job.
A Brief Overview
Provides donor recruitment support to the fixed site Blood Centers; greets and processes donor registrations; processes special donations orders, including autologous, directed, therapeutic, research, HLA-matched and RBC phenotype-matched products.
Schedules platelet, whole blood and plasma donor appointments meeting specific metrics in regard to appointments and telephone calls.
May greet blood donors, obtain required information, and prepare medical history forms.

What you will do
Calls donors for platelet and whole blood donations, meeting specific metrics outlined.
Enters all appointments or information into appropriate computer programs and maintains donor files.
Answers phone, and / or greets donor, and provides information within defined limits, answering basic questions regarding apheresis and whole blood donation requirements and restrictions.
Coordinates donors with Recruitment, Special Donations or Collections as required.
Positions at this level also include one or more of the following duties.
Guides donor through the registration process. Prepares paperwork as needed for autologous, designated and other special donations.
Collects and records payments as necessary.
Keeps track of correspondences and interactions with customers using a customer relationship management tool.
Performs office maintenance as necessary such as inventory and purchase ordering.
Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Required
Experience Qualifications
Two (2) years’ experience in a customer service oriented position. Required

Strong customer service experience and a proven ability to meet performance standards.
Clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds.

Strong computer skills such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Base Pay Scale : Generally starting at $24.56 - $31.32 per hour
