Ideal candidate

If you are looking for a fun, active job, you may be a good fit for this gymnastics coach position! Teach children of all ages -- from 3-12 -- motor skills such as jumping and running to gymnastic fundamentals such as forward rolls, cartwheels, pullovers, and roundoffs.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with kids ages 3-12
• Must be able to work afternoons (3pm ), but we are flexible with days of the week
• Ability to demonstrate, correct, and coach **recreational** gymnastics. We prefer prior experience in gymnastics, cheer, dance, or tumbling as a coach or athlete.
• Willingness to learn and lead active games with kids
• Ability to send email, texts, and answer phone calls with customers
• Willingness to learn and update an online database of customers

Roles

• Coach beginner gymnastics classes and preschool gymnastics classes
• Join staff in creating bi-weekly themes surrounding gymnastics skills
• Join the staff in cleaning and tidying around the gym

Wages and hours

We offer part-time work of 10-15 hours/week with flexible hours. Our training wage is $19/hour and base wage starts at $20/hour. In addition, we offer the following benefits:

• Fixed flexible schedule: Your schedule is the same week-to-week. No weekly changes!
• Private lessons that pay $50-$80/hour. Requests for privates come through the gym and are assigned to coaches.
• Snacks at the gym. Nobody likes a hungry coach!
• We also allow use of the gym to train on your own skills, subject to scheduling. You get to keep up your gymnastics skills too by teaching them to others and getting some practice in yourself (if you want)!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
