Job Description

We are currently looking for a talented Diversional and Recreational Therapist to become part of our team at our Summerset at Village. This is a Full time permanent role.

 A weekend rate of an additional 40 percent of the hourly rate.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

• Someone who can provide meaningful and purposeful recreational programs
• Someone with a pre-existing passion for Diversional and Recreational Therapy
• Someone with a good level of human awareness (empathy & compassion)
• Someone who understand holistic approaches (person centre care)
• Someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, innovative, creative and resourceful
• Someone who is self-motivated, respectful, curious, open minded and proactive
• Someone with good communications skills and strong willingness to learn
• Someone who is available to work full time
• Must Hold a full valid NZ Driver Licence
• Fully Qualified and License Diversional and Recreational Therapist (Registered DRT). If you don't hold a DRT Licence, or if you are not a Qualified DRT, you must be willing to complete the NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy
