General Information:

Job title: Respiratory Therapist

Schedules Available: Part-time 1, 48 hours per pay period; Schedule would include both day shift and night shifts that have easy transition.

Weekend rotation: Every 3rd weekend

Holiday rotation: Included in the holiday rotation

Additional Information: Position would have the opportunity to learn and perform dayshift tasks that include cardiac testing, home sleep testing, PFT's and more.

Position Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist position assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients who have difficulty breathing or are diagnosed with cardiopulmonary diseases.

Position Responsibilities:

• Give medications.
• Help correct a breathing problem, acute or chronic.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients who have difficulty breathing or are diagnosed with cardiopulmonary diseases.
• Documentation in patient's medical records.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective carryover of services for patient care.

• Perform other duties as requested.

Position Requirements:

• Two-year degree in Applied Science, Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist license.
• Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.
• Must maintain BLS.
• ACLS, NRP must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• 6 months of related work experience required.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.
• Strong assessment and planning skills.
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
