Recreational Therapist plans and directs medically approved therapeutic recreational programs for patients. Organizes activities according to patients' capabilities, needs, and interests. Being a Recreational Therapist conducts programs including symptom management, basic conversation skills, community re-entry, sports, gardening, dramatics, music, social activities, and arts and crafts. Prepares reports for patients' physicians describing individual patient symptoms and reactions to therapeutic programs. Additionally, Recreational Therapist conducts activity therapy assessment of a patient's strengths and needs, and recommends therapeutic activity. Documents progress on each patient. Requires a license/certification to practice from the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Requires to practice from the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Recreational Therapist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.   • B-Elite Rush is seeking a Recreational Director in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

    We are looking for a Recreational Director that is organized, motivated, and an excellent communicator. The position is extremely important to the long-term success of player development within our club.

    This position requires a soccer background and ideally experience in a Rush organization with the ability to implement the Rush Way Philosophy. The Recreational Director must possess the ability to work with and develop players of all ages and abilities. The player’s development is paramount for this position. In order for the Rush to maintain national recognition, the player must be first. He/she will be appointed to teams each season and must be able to train players in the Rush Way. The Recreational Director will have conflicts on game day and therefore must be able to cooperate and coordinate with Club Trainers and Directors to resolve the conflicts. In addition to the Head Coach assignments, the Recreational Director will be expected to oversee and manage the recreational program leads.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • U.S.S.F. National “E” License
    • N.S.C.A.A. Advanced National License
    • 10 years of Playing experience
    • 1 year of Coaching experience
    • College level playing experience

    Desired Skills and Experience
    • Employed 1 year with a youth club
    • CPR & First Aid Certified
    • Concussion Certified
    • US Soccer “D” License
    • Tested in the Rush Way

    The Recreational Director must be able to demonstrate the skills and techniques of soccer. He/she must be able to articulate and communicate the tactics. This position requires an outgoing personality with the ability to work with volunteers, players and parents. The Recreational Director must possess the desire to excel and strive to make the B-Elite Rush Soccer Club the premier club in the Nation.

    Compensation: This is a full-time, salaried position (annual salary range of $40,000 to $50,000), including healthcare benefits.
