Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Recreation Coordinator to join our team. As a Recreation Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating recreational activities for our community. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others through engaging and fun activities.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement age-appropriate therapeutic recreational activities via in-person or virtual.

- Coordinate and implement activities with residential management for individuals we support.

- Research and coordinate activities with outside vendors, group sales and businesses.

- Responsible for purchasing and maintaining materials for recreation classes.

- Responsible for overseeing the department’s petty cash.

- Coordinate the registration/billing and or collection of fees for activities.

- Create and distribute the monthly recreation calendar.

- Assist in marketing and promotion of Avidd’s recreation program.

- Attend staff meeting as required.

- Promote and maintain the public image of Avidd in conjunction with our mission and philosophy.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

- Must be 21 years of age.

- Minimum of an Associates Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

- Must cooperate with the licensee and the Department of Human Services staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation.

- Driver’s license valid in the State of NJ.

- Employees must clear all background checks including but not limited to fingeprints, CARI checks, references, drug testing, physical and PPD, Central Registry.

- Must be able to communicate effectively with all departments.

- Commitment to work until the job is completed.

- This position reports to the Program Coordinator.

- Some nights and weekends are required.
