POSITION TITLE: District Coordinator of Co-Curricular Middle School Programs (Athletics, Intramurals, Enrichment)
COMPENSATION: $7,000.00 based on Appendix V of the AAEA CBA (986 points @ $7.10/point)
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Executive Director, Middle School Education
SUMMARY:
The Coordinator of Co-Curricular Middle School Prgorams will have administrative responsibility over the Middle School co-curricular programs and directors at the Middle Level schools (Clague, Forsythe, Scarlett, Slauson, Tappan, Ann Arbor Open, A2 Steam). The Middle School Co-curricular activities program incorporates athletics, intramurals and enrichment programs. The Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of co-curricular activities for the middle level programs and the directors at the Middle Schools.
This position may be split with another individual contingent upon a written agreement and approval by the Executive Director, Middle Schools.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Preference will be given to middle level building staff member
Bachelor's degree with a major in education or equivalent
Experience as a teacher and coach
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee middle school co-curricular directors
- Serve as liason between district and individual schools
- Coordinate transportation for athletic events
- Coordinate officials for district competitions
- Monitor budget (co-curricular budgets)
- Ensure that all activities align with district liability guidelines
- Uphold, follow and enforce the district BOE policy
- Maintain accurate records as it pertains to scheduling and purchasing for Middle School Co-Curricular programs and events
- Ensure adequate supervision of students during district events and meets
- Coordinate equipment and facility use for district events and meets with Community Rec and Ed
- Communicate and collaborate with co-curricular athletic directors as it pertains to co-curricular duties and responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned
