Job Summary

The Re-Buyer / Replenishment Analyst is responsible for executing strategies and buy plans to purchase products from suppliers, strongly supporting growth in Sales, and developing and maintaining positive vendor relationships. The role is charged with optimizing inventory to maximize sales, profitability and inventory turn while meeting fillrate objectives. The Re-Buyer / Replenishment Analyst works cross-functionally to meet/exceed Company goals and role KPI’s while maintaining a partnership with the Supplier community.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed functional KPI’s, fill rate, inventory turnover and working capital / decreasing risk of overstock and obsolescence.
• For assigned vendors, manage all aspects of replenishment buying including but not limited to inventory analysis, PO issuance, vendor communication, PO tracking / on-time shipping, PO maintenance, new item maintenance.
• Identify and work with management to implement process improvements to increase efficiency. Share “Best Practices” from a purchasing perspective; including both direct and indirect spend management.
• Develop, track and report Scorecard performance for assigned vendors.
• Collaborate with counterparts in other functional areas such as Category Managers, Procurement, Accounting, Customer Service, and Warehouse Operations to ensure alignment of activities and objectives and communicate relevant information to those stakeholders promptly.
• Proactively incorporate market-intelligence activities that include performing industry, supply market and supply chain research/analytics; uncovering trends and best practices; sharing knowledge, insight and advise in a way that contributes to short and long-term business strategies.
• Present the status of cost reduction or working capital efforts, budget performance, strategic projects or category strategies to colleagues and management.
• Other Duties: The Re-Buyer/Replenishment Buyer will also conduct other duties as necessary in the effective performance of the role or as directed by the business’s stakeholders.
