The Real Estate Service Center (TRESC) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented In-House Attorney to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth real estate transactions by providing legal support and expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze real estate abstracts and prepare accurate title commitments and title opinions
• Review documents for title clearing to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
• Draft, review, and revise various real estate transfer documents and other title clearing documents.
• Assist with resolving company legal issues as needed.
• Stay up-to-date on current real estate laws and regulations.

In addition to core legal duties, provide guidance and support on HR matters as they arise. This may include:

• Assisting with employee terminations
• Advising on compliance with employment laws
• Partnering with external legal counsel for complex issues

Qualifications:

• Active Iowa Law License
• Degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar association
• Must get approved with Iowa Title Guaranty to write title commitments under them
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in real estate law, title insurance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
