The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm’s clients, administrative staff, and attorneys.     Responsibilities

    • Appear on behalf of clients at arbitration, mediation, hearings, and at trial
    • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
    • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
    • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
    • Take careful notes of all hearings, telephone calls, and activities
    • Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
    • Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
    • Coordinate with paralegals and administrative staff in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings, and completing client projects
    • Abide by firm policies and procedures, including policies and procedures relating to the documentation of activities
    Qualifications

    • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree
    • An active member of the California State Bar Association in good standing
    • 10 or more years of experience practicing real estate law, real estate litigation, or business litigation with significant trial experience
    • Advanced computer skills including working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) and other software (DMS systems, CRM systems, time and billing systems) preferred
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
    • Must be able to handle a heavy caseload with little supervision
    • Decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
    Compensation
    $75,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
