Rating Specialist is responsible for calculating insurance premiums based on rate books, calculators, and the type and amount of policy. Revises rates as necessary and maintains records and appropriate filings. Being a Rating Specialist requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Rating Specialist works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     The Billing and Rating coordinator will ensure accurate and timely processing of revenue and billing to maximize monthly revenue, and will direct it appropriately to each company branch. They will maintain accuracy in all paperwork received before scanning it into the imaging drive. A successful candidate would also include: 

     * Accurate typing and/or data entry skills and the ability to use a 10-key
     * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, internet, web-based and job specific software applications
     * Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and calculate weight, percentages, volume and distance 
     * Responds promptly and professionally to customer and to requests for service and assistance.
     * Experience reading and interpreting contracts for specified billing clients
     * Develop and maintain excellent service to internal and external customers.
     * Coordinate rating, auditing and billing functions.
     * Research and resolve data entry/rating problems.
     * Correct billing errors. 
     * Prepare documents to be scanned, indexed, and filed.
     * Focused attention to detail 
     *  Ability to multi task and prioritize work load
      $20-$22 per hour / Depending on experience

    This part-time position has flexible hours between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday for someone who is looking to work 4-6 hour per day or 3-4 days per week.
