Rating Specialist is responsible for calculating insurance premiums based on rate books, calculators, and the type and amount of policy. Revises rates as necessary and maintains records and appropriate filings. Being a Rating Specialist requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Rating Specialist works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.   • JOB SUMMARY

    Under general supervision, responsible for complex repairs and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems for the Health System in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, department policies, along with applicable codes and regulations.

     

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

         

    Education: High School Diploma or GED.

     

    Experience: Three years of directly related experience preferred.

     

    Licensure/Certification: At least one of the following trades are required for the position:

    1. Current West Virginia Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
    2. Universal EPA Certification. (It is achieved by completing Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 categories.)
    3. Current State of West Virginia HVAC Technician License.
    4. Current West Virginia Journeyman or Master Plumbing License.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

    Heavy Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs.
