Rating Specialist is responsible for calculating insurance premiums based on rate books, calculators, and the type and amount of policy. Revises rates as necessary and maintains records and appropriate filings. Being a Rating Specialist requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Responsibilities:
* Collect, manipulate, and analyze data from diverse sources.
* Prepare reports and visualizations to convey active rates loaded in the database/computer system.
* Identify trends and patterns in data to inform business decisions, addressing questions like: Where are rates missing? How can we fill the gap?
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions. Provide support to audit and programming teams, ensuring timely loading of updated rates.
Requirements:
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Pay: $45,000 to $55,000 / Year
Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-4pm
