Rate Analyst monitors, reviews, and evaluates service rates and charges for various public utilities. Calculates cost-of-service and performs related rate analysis. Being a Rate Analyst ensures filings comply with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission requirements. Typically requires a bachelor's degree of business administration or related field. Additionally, Rate Analyst typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Rate Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must successfully complete dealer training or have previous casino dealing experience. Must be able to successfully pass dealer assessment and audition. Must be fast and accurate in handling cash.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from supervisors, managers, fellow employees and/or the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must obtain licensing with the West Virginia Lottery and Racing Commissions every year of employment.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate. Speaks clearly and politely; responds well to questions; and, contributes to building a positive team spirit. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. Must be diplomatic and tactful. Previous customer service experience preferred.
