REQUIREMENTS – Applicant must have prior experience as a flagger and is certified. Familiar with construction and construction management terms. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Verbal communication includes contract staff, Resident Engineer, facility staff and outside contractors. Must be able to pass a basic railroad safety test given by PATH.
SCOPE – The Port Authority is looking for an organized, highly motivated individual, capable of providing construction flagging support in and around an active railroad. Under the general supervision of the Resident Engineer, performs support duties for various construction projects focusing on railroad protection. Work may consist of a variety of duties of support for construction management operation including construction flagging support.
