Radiology Director directs and coordinates activities of a radiology or diagnostic imaging department in a hospital or other medical facility. Reviews work schedules and assigns duties to workers to maintain patient flow and achieve production goals. Being a Radiology Director oversees staff in operation of imaging equipment, such as x-ray machine, fluoroscope, CT scanner, or MRI equipment. Evaluates accuracy and quality of images and provides technical assistance to staff. Additionally, Radiology Director demonstrates new techniques, equipment, and procedures to staff. Implements and monitors radiation safety measures to ensure safety of patients and staff and compliance with regulatory requirements. Develops and implements plans, policies, and procedures regarding operations and staffing and, the purchasing of radiology supplies. May require an advanced degree. In collaboration with the Chairman of Radiology, the Director will participate in and support Penn Medicine Princeton Health strategic imperatives in People, Quality, Experience, and Growth & Access while ensuring Financial Stewardship.

Supports the creation of clinical effectiveness targets, improvement plans and reporting systems to ensure the delivery of high quality, effective and efficient patient care. Support the ongoing Clinical Effectiveness Team approach to delivering care, supported by a strong shared governance team model for each modality. Aligns work with the Penn Medicine Team Goals and PMPH Entity Goals. Establishes clinical effectiveness targets and strategies annually. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory standards and requirements, including ACR, TJC, Department of Health, FDA, HIPAA and others. Partners with PMPH Administration, Medical Staff, Nursing, and other departments on entity initiatives to improve the quality of care and service provided to our patients. Oversight responsibility for Radiation and MRI Safety programs for all of PMPH. Actively participate in CEQI and Patient Safety Committees. Personally, spends time with Radiology Leadership, managers and staff to build partnerships, identify opportunities that will drive performance.
EXPERIENCE:Understands the needs and expectations of patients, referring physicians, and staff across PMPH. Communicates effectively and frequently through multiple channels. Fosters a High Reliability Organization (HRO) culture through transparent, frequent, and bi-directional communication. Ensures Radiology Management and Staff satisfaction through comprehensive and continuous measurement utilizing available resources and strategies for employee engagement. Continuously communicates to Radiology leadership the importance of patient and client satisfaction and establishes priorities for improving departmental performance in meeting and exceeding health system expectations.
GROWTH and ACCESS:Works with Radiology Leadership in developing programs, services and products to anticipate future business needs, build strength and generate growth. Consults with UPHS Leaders in the assessment and evaluation of on-going programs, clinical commitments and businesses. Collaborates with PMPH growth strategies to ensure alignment and capacity of radiology services, including capital investments. Continually monitors volumes, schedules, wait time for appointments, turnaround times, etc. Markets services via in-person referrer visits, marketing materials, etc.

Amer Reg Diag Med Sonographer (Required)Education or Equivalent Experience:
